The Wish Tree is a nine-card Lenormand spread structured as a vertical tree with three levels: roots, trunk, and crown. It is used specifically for questions about a wish, desire, or intention - exploring not just the likely outcome but the full architecture of what supports and obstructs the wish's fulfillment.

**The three levels**

The **roots** (bottom row, three cards) reveal the foundation: what underlies the wish, the deeper need it serves, and the past circumstances or patterns from which it grows. Roots are not necessarily problems - they are the soil from which the desire has emerged. Understanding them clarifies whether the wish is grounded in genuine need or in something more transient.

The **trunk** (middle row, three cards) describes the path: what is currently in motion, what requires action or decision, and what blocks or complicates the route to fulfillment. The central card of the trunk often names the crux of the matter - the point of leverage where choice or effort makes the most difference.

The **crown** (top row, three cards) reads the outcome zone: how the wish is likely to develop, what it may become in fulfillment, and the final answer from the cards. The rightmost card of the crown carries particular weight as the culminating statement of the reading.

**Reading the tree as a whole**

After reading each level in sequence, read the tree vertically through each column. The left column traces the supportive line from foundation to crown. The middle column traces the central theme through all three levels. The right column traces the direction of movement and final result.

**Preparation**

State your wish clearly and specifically before drawing. Vague wishes produce vague readings. The more precisely you name what you want, the more usefully the spread responds to it.
